Andrea_Lady.jpgOne Child - One Dog - The child and his dog

Andréa and Lady
So much tenderness...

  • Perfect playing mate, the dog treats the handicaped chil like a any other child. He never returns to him a devaluing image, never rejects him and always responds positivly to any request
  • The close physical contact with the dog helps developping moral contact. The quietness and the softness of this companion have an alleviating effect on the child and so help him to overcome his anguishes
  • Some children express to the dog the tenderness that they cannot give to the human beings. As they receive in return, the love of the animal, it helps them step by step to get out of their insulation .

" Who didn't observ kids said to be unstable, hyperactiv (who "can't stay in one place" ), unable to fix their attention, who become more stable in their behavior and their attention, less turbulent or "erratic", as soon as their eyes were attracted by the view of f the animal life ? While focusing itself on a cat playing with a cork, a dog bringing back the stick that one launched to him, a hamster filling its cheeks with food reserves some in its bajoues, etc, the glance organizes itself. Together mobile and supporting,it allows the child to collect multiple informations, to give them a meaning and to organize them in knowledge and in coherent questionings
. The unstable; hyperactive child, the one who seemed not to be able to fix his attention, shows and proves on this occasion that he can develop capacities of real visual attention ,whereas, usually, their glance sweeps the schoolboard or the book without stopping but in fugacious way (which does not enable them to collect, thus to treat, essential information for the building of the knowledge and the learning), and structure himself as attentive individual who can organize answers adapted to information that the receive sfrom the animal ,
the animal can unlock the inside world of the child with its anxiolytic effects and the emotional safety which it installs ."
